Calvin Klein

In my Summer 2021 internship with the Calvin Klein Retail Operations team, I was tasked with initiating a project to enhance Calvin Klein’s existing loyalty program. Through my research findings and analysis, as well as guidance by my manager, the agreed upon plan involved implementing the enhancements through a relaunching of a Calvin Klein mobile app. As a result, my manager and I agreed upon creating our own mock interface, rather than showing screenshots from other retail companies’ apps, which prompted my beginning in UI/UX design.

My Role

I was responsible for bringing this project from the ground up, all the way from ideation to handing it off to CK’s e-commerce team. This began with research pertaining to other retail companies, as well as discussing different user journeys for different retail customers. Moving past the research stage, I built out a deck to present my findings and insights. Once we centralized what needed to be included in our own app, I proposed the idea of showcasing our ideas through a mock interface. This lead to me learning how to prototype on Figma, creating an interface accompanied by a deck, and presenting to senior leadership. With final feedback from senior leadership, and my internship coming to a close, I passed off the finalized assets to Amanda, and she moved it through the necessary proposals, starting with the e-commerce team.
